Vacancy – Conservation Programme Officer

CONSERVATION PROGRAMME OFFICER

The Conservation Programme Officer (CPO) is primarily responsible for the promotion, development and management of PACT’s portfolio of internally and externally funded projects as assigned. The CPO is responsible for liaising with potential and existing grantee organizations, the initial technical reviews of proposals, Expressions of Interest and concept papers, providing technical recommendations for project design improvements, undertaking regular project monitoring to ensure project implementation success and executing and coordinating internal and external project evaluations.

As part of its Strategic Plan 2017-2021, PACT is to update its current Communication Strategy for the 2018-2021 period, including an updated PACT’s Stakeholders Map and adding of a social media component to the Strategy. The Strategy is to effectively communicate PACT investments’ impact informed by the M&E Function. The Intern will therefore produce an action plan for the rest of the current and next fiscal years. Tied to the action plan, the Intern will be required to design and implement pre-and post-surveys to determine Stakeholders’ perceptions.

Vacancy: Monitoring Officer (MO)

The Monitoring Officer (MO) position’s main role is to develop and implement the performance measurement framework and sub-systems for PACT’s investments and projects, and by extension the
National Protected Areas System (NPAS), so that results can be tracked and data are available for the execution of internal and external evaluations. The MO position will establish baseline data sets for all NPAS related interventions and then collaboratively develop logical frameworks, performance indicator frameworks and data collection plans, develop and execute the monitoring program activities which will include collecting and compiling information and data sets related to operations/administration processes, planned outputs and intended outcomes of the interventions.
