Invitation for Bids – Supply and Delivery of Truck

Protection of Natural Resources Selva Maya Supply and Delivery of Vehicles

On October 10th of 2010, the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Central American Commission for Environment and Development (CCAD, for its acronym in Spanish) celebrated the Financial Cooperation Contribution Contract. In 2014, the Governments of Belize, Guatemala and Mexico, together with KfW, during the XLII Special Meeting of CCAD, elected the Regional Office for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean (ORMACC, for its acronym in Spanish) of IUCN as the organization responsible for financial implementation and technical support of the “Natural Resources Protection Program of Selva Maya (SMP). The Government of Belize intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to payments under the Contract for Supply and Delivery of (1) Truck.
 
The Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply and delivery of (1) 7 Ton Hino Truck.
 

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the IUCN and KfW’s Guidelines for the procurement of supplies, works and associated services within the framework of the Official Financial Cooperation with partner countries, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines.

Qualifications requirements include:
Experience and Technical Capacity as follows:

  • The Company must be an authorized reseller of vehicles and have at least 5 years in the business
  • The Company must have an annual inventory turnover of 1.5 times the amount of the contract object.
  • The Company must have successfully completed at least one contract, within the past three years, in supplying similar equipment, within a similar scope of supply and complexity as to the proposed contract.
  • Personnel with professional qualification in servicing and repair of vehicles.
  • Bidders should confirm adequate on-hand availability of spare parts and after sales services for the vehicles offered in the bid.
     
  • A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically shall not be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
     

    Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 2:00 p.m., local time, on 30 April 2019. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 2:10 p.m. local time, on 30 April 2019.
