Celebrate PACT’s 27th Anniversary with Exciting Social Media Contests

We are thrilled to announce that in celebration of our 27th anniversary, the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) is hosting a series of engaging social media contests throughout the month of June. As we reflect on our journey in safeguarding Belize’s natural treasures, we want to involve our amazing supporters and provide an opportunity to win exciting prizes. Get ready to showcase your knowledge, creativity, and love for conservation as we launch trivia competitions and weekly photo contests. Join us in this celebration of PACT’s achievements and the power of collective action for Belize’s protected areas!

Trivia Competitions

Every Tuesday and Thursday in June, we will be posting trivia questions related to PACT’s work over the years. To participate, simply provide your answers in the comments section of the contest post within 24 hours of the question being posted. These posts can be found on our Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, giving our followers four different chances to enter. Winners will be selected randomly from the correct answers and prizes will be issued at the end of the month. Stay tuned on our social media channels for the trivia questions and mark your calendars for these exciting days!

Photo Contests

In addition to our trivia competitions, we invite you to showcase your photography skills and passion for nature conservation through our weekly photo contests. Each week, we will announce a new theme related to Belize’s biodiversity and protected areas. Share your original photos in the comments section o of the contest post or by using the hashtag #PACT27th, and our judges will evaluate them based on creativity, composition, and adherence to the theme. Winners will be announced at the end of each week and receive prizes at the end of the month.

Contest Rules

To ensure fairness and clarity, please take note of the following contest rules:

    1. Eligibility: The contest is open to all individuals residing in Belize.
    1. Participation: To enter the trivia competitions, participants must answer the trivia questions correctly in the comments section of the contest post. To enter the photo competition, participants must upload their photos as a comment on the contest post.
    1. Trivia Competition: Trivia questions will be posted every Tuesday and Thursday in June. Participants must provide their answers in the comments section of the contest post within 24 hours of the question being posted. Winners will be selected randomly from the correct answers and announced on the following Monday.
    1. Photo Competition: Participants can submit their photos related to the given theme by uploading to Instagram and both tagging @naturebelize and adding the hashtag “#PACT@27”. Photos must be original and taken by the participant. By submitting a photo, participants grant PACT the right to share and repost the photo with proper credit. Winners will be selected based on creativity, composition, and adherence to the theme. The winner will be announced each following Monday.
    1. Prizes: Prize winners will Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
    1. Rights and Usage: By participating in the contest, participants grant PACT the right to use their names, submitted photos, and comments for promotional purposes without further compensation.
    1. Notification: Winners will be notified via direct message or a comment reply. If a winner does not respond within 48 hours, a new winner will be selected.
    1. Disqualification: PACT reserves the right to disqualify participants who violate the contest rules or provide false information.
    1. Agreement to Rules: By participating, participants agree to comply with the contest rules and decisions made by PACT.
    1. Promotion: This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with any social media platform. Participants release the social media platform from any liability.
