Project Goal

The goal of this project is to improve Belize’s long-term capacity to protect communities from climate threats posed by drought, unpredictable water availability, floods and improper wildfire management.

To achieve this goal, the five components of this project will target the Belizean communities, regions and populations that have been affected by climate change and variability or that have been identified and recognized as being at risk to climate events and extreme weather variations. This means that the benefits of the project will be accessible to communities and organizations that can develop and implement interventions that contribute to the goal of the project and the outcomes of the Adaptation Fund
