Dr. Osmond Martinez was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer oin the Ministry of Economic Development and Investment in 2021. Dr. Martinez holds a doctorate in Economics with a focus in poverty and social development. His research in that area focussed on sustainable tourism development with implications of poverty alleviation and socioeconomic development in Belize. Additionally, Dr. Martinez holds masters degrees in Economic Development and Teaching Teachers how to Teach (Spanish as a Second Language).
