Overview

The Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) is seeking a local consultant to develop and deliver a comprehensive Training Kit on PACT’s Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) with integrated gender considerations under the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Project (BLZ-RS-013).

This consultancy will strengthen the capacity of PACT staff and national stakeholders to effectively apply environmental and social safeguards, gender integration, Indigenous Peoples considerations, and grievance mechanisms in the implementation of GCF-funded activities.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in ESMS/ESMF, environmental and social safeguards, or risk management frameworks
• Strong knowledge of GCF, Adaptation Fund, IFC Performance Standards, or similar systems
• Proven experience integrating gender, SEAH prevention, Indigenous Peoples, and FPIC into project processes
• Experience designing and delivering adult learning and capacity-building programmes
• Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a modular ESMS training kit with integrated gender considerations
• Conduct a targeted review of PACT’s ESMS and relevant safeguard frameworks
• Design practical case studies and scenario-based exercises
• Deliver capacity development workshops for PACT staff and external stakeholders
• Finalize training materials and submit a comprehensive closure report
