The areas for which projects can be funded must be related to the conservation and management of a legally recognized protected area and must fall under one or more of the following priority areas.

• Protected Areas Management and Conservation;
• Protected Areas Promotion and Development;
• Environmental Education and Awareness; and
• Community Development around Protected Areas.
