Celebrating 15 years of innovation, leadership and impact in protected areas!

PACT Grants over quarter million dollars for the New Year!

The Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT) is proud to announce investments of $389,530.06 in new grants to start off this New Year! This year, PACT is doing things a little different and instead of the usual award ceremony will head off into the protected areas! PACT invites you to follow us for the next two weeks as we travel across the country to award these grants and share some information with you on the projects. You’ll get the information from the grantees themselves, the people directly involved in bringing these projects to life. PACT will award grants to five (5) organizations for projects in eight (8) protected areas!

The Journey - North! South! Central! West!
  • A ride on the Bay in Sarteneja [Corozal Bay Wildlife Sanctuary - Sarteneja Alliance for Conservation and Development]
  • A trip in the forest down in Punta Gorda [Bladen Nature Reserve - Ya’axché Conservation Trust]
  • Off on the sea in Placencia [Gladden Spit and Silk Cayes Marine Reserve and Sapodilla Cayes Marine Reserve - Southern Environmental Association]
  • Sounds of nature with Black Howler Monkeys [Community Baboon Sanctuary - Community Baboon Sanctuary Women’s Conservation Group]

These grants are for Protected Areas Management and Conservation and of the five (5), two (2) are Small Grants and three (3) are Medium-Sized Grants. Visit our website for updates over the next two weeks as we share more on the projects and protected areas!
